By accessing and using this website (garnetcounselling.com) and the services provided by Garnet Counselling, operated by Andrew Garnet MSW, RSW (“Andrew Garnet,” “Garnet Counselling,” “we,” “us”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. 2. About Garnet Counselling
Garnet Counselling is a private psychotherapy and counselling practice operated by Andrew Garnet, a Registered Social Worker (RSW) registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). Andrew Garnet holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree and practices in compliance with the OCSWSSW Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics, and all applicable Ontario legislation.
Garnet Counselling operates from 10 Milner Business Court, Scarborough, Ontario, and provides in-person and virtual services to clients in Ontario.

- No guarantees of specific therapeutic outcomes are made or implied
- Descriptions of therapeutic approaches reflect evidence-based practices as recognized in the professional literature
- Client testimonials, where presented, are anonymized to protect client confidentiality, and shared with the express written consent of the individual

5. Limitation of Outcomes
While Andrew Garnet uses evidence-based approaches and is committed to providing high-quality professional services, no specific therapeutic outcome is guaranteed. The effectiveness of therapy depends on many factors, including the nature and severity of the presenting concern, client engagement, and the therapeutic fit between client and therapist.
6. Professional Services Agreement
Individuals who engage Garnet Counselling's professional therapeutic services will be provided with a separate Informed Consent and Professional Services Agreement prior to commencing treatment. That agreement governs the therapeutic relationship and supersedes any general terms on this website with respect to actual clinical services.
7. Fees and Payment
Current fee information is listed on this website as a general guide. Fees are subject to change with reasonable notice. Payment is typically due at the time of service. Cancellation and rescheduling policies will be provided in the Professional Services Agreement.
Extended health benefits and direct billing are available for many insurance providers; however, it is the client's responsibility to confirm coverage with their insurer. Garnet Counselling does not guarantee reimbursement by any insurer.
8. Emergency and Crisis Situations
This website and the services of Garnet Counselling are not designed or equipped for crisis intervention or emergency mental health services. If you or someone you know is in a mental health emergency, experiencing suicidal thoughts, or in immediate danger, please:

Do not rely on email or website contact forms for crisis support — these are not monitored on a 24/7 basis.

11. Virtual Services — Jurisdictional Scope
Andrew Garnet is a Registered Social Worker in the Province of Ontario. Virtual therapy services are offered only to individuals physically located in Ontario at the time of service, in compliance with provincial licensing requirements.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
This website is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Garnet Counselling makes no warranty that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the website.
13. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario.
14. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes take effect upon posting to this website. Continued use of the website following changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
